I've been stuck with this HP notebook for a while now, and I'm sharing my honest thoughts on its performance.
I don't even remember how much I paid for it, but it's been a while since I bought this thing. If you're thinking of buying a used one, like on Avito, my review might give you an idea of what to expect.
From a visual standpoint, I was pretty happy with it - the screen, the size, and the keyboard all looked great when I first got it.
But it started to show its age within the first few months. It took forever to boot up, and we tried to troubleshoot it with a young guy to figure out what was going on. We ended up disabling most of the auto-start programs just to make it somewhat usable.
Over the years, we've replaced almost every part:
The fan started making a crazy loud noise, like a vacuum cleaner. We had to replace it because it was driving me nuts.We replaced the hinges and the screen bezel because they broke under normal wear and tear - it's just how fragile this thing is.The whole thing is just held together with thin, fragile plastic. We replaced it once, and it's already on its way out again.It's been sitting on a desk, and the screen moves a bit when I pick it up - that's just normal wear and tear, right?

Shouldn't a notebook have parts that last longer than this? We took apart another brand's notebook, which was twice as old, and not a single part had broken. It's really disappointing to see how fragile this thing is - it's just not what you expect.
We've had to repair the charging cable three times because it short-circuited - that's just ridiculous.We've partially repaired the screw mounts in the case because they broke when we took it apart. It's just not what I expect from a notebook.We upgraded the storage to an SSD and added 4GB of RAM, and only then did it become somewhat usable. Even then, it's still a bit of a struggle.Now it can't even hold a charge for 10 minutes. I have to use it near a power outlet - it's not the most common issue, but it's the only thing that's forgivable at this point.
Without the upgrades, it was slow to a crawl, even for simple tasks. I think it was slow right out of the box, to be honest.
This notebook is a total disaster. I'll definitely think twice about buying an HP notebook next time. In fact, I'd probably avoid it altogether.
