Trash Bags with a Smoking Gun: My Verdict on Homex

I'm usually not one to get excited about trash bags, but these Homex models with a tobacco cherry scent caught my eye. I've been on a quest to find the perfect trash bags for ages, but it's been a wild goose chase. Either they're super flimsy or they rip at the slightest touch. I've stuck with my trusty Fix Price bags for years, but when I spotted these at Magnit Cosmetics, I just had to give them a shot. And, let me tell you, the price wasn't exactly budget-friendly for trash bags.

The packaging is a breeze to get to, but the edges are a bit sticky on the cardboard. The whole thing looks a bit flimsy, but I digress. I picked up the Tobacco Cherry-scented bags, and I gotta say, they're actually scented – but not in a good way. It's just your run-of-the-mill floral aroma that's so subtle, you need to stick your nose right in the bag to smell anything. My husband swears he caught a whiff of bubble gum, but I'm not convinced.

As for the quality, the bags are pretty durable, and the perforation comes off easily without ripping the bag. The bottom's decent, but I've never had any liquids spill, so I couldn't tell you how airtight they are. Honestly, it's a decent product, but it's not my go-to. I've got a 10-liter trash can and I always grab 60-liter bags – I hate it when they spill over. I haven't compared these bags to others, but it seems like the volume is a bit more. The aroma thing is a total miss, smells like nothing. Honestly, I was expecting more, hence I wouldn't recommend them.
