NewAge Hot Stamped Vinyl Wall Decals, Sero-Brown, 1.06m x 10m

I'm all about making my space feel extra special, and these wall decals from NewAge do just that. The hot stamping effect in this gorgeous sero-brown color is seriously elegant, and the vinyl material is top-notch - easy to apply and remove without damaging your walls. I've tried a few different wall decals in the past, but these ones are perfect for adding a touch of sophistication to any room. Plus, they're long-lasting, which is a total win for renters or homeowners alike. I've had mine up for a few months now, and they still look brand new.

My Son's Been Dreaming of Grey Walls, and Now They're Finally a Reality

summarizeEditor's Summary

I caved to my son's years-long obsession with grey walls and redecorated his room with new wallpaper. The process was a blast, with my kid getting to pick out the design and helping with the installation. The old wallpaper was due for a change - it was on a paper base with a straight joint and no pattern matching. The new grey walls have a sleek, modern look that my son loves. I'm impressed by the ease of use and the fact that the shims are almost invisible after the wallpaper dries. The geometric pattern of the wallpaper is spot on, and the design matches perfectly. The build quality is top-notch, and the seams are barely noticeable. The wallpaper is easy to install, even for a DIY novice like me. The grey color is a great choice for a kid's room - it's calm and soothing.

Hello to everyone who's interested in my review and took the time to find out what I think!
I've got a confession to make: my kid's been dreaming of redecorating his room with new wallpaper for years. He was really into it when we put up new wallpaper in the kitchen last year, especially when he got to pick out the design. We both loved the result, and he loved the process.
The old wallpaper in his room was a bit worn out, but it had a unique look. It was on a paper base, with a straight joint and no pattern matching. The light-colored design with the darker companion pattern looked like a single, multi-colored image. But my kid wasn't a fan of the color. He's been dreaming of gray walls for years.
We looked at wallpapers in two home improvement stores, and in both of them, my kid was drawn to dark gray colors. At the second store, on the 47th kilometer of the Moscow Ring Road, he initially picked out dark gray wallpaper. We were a bit taken aback by this choice, and after a quick chat, we convinced him that walls the color of old asphalt would get old fast. He thought about it and agreed to go with light gray wallpaper instead.
These NewAGe vinyl wallpapers with a hot-pressed finish in a grey-brown ether color, NA8786-15, 1.06x10m, were sold in early November for 2299 rubles per roll. That's a few rubles cheaper than the hot-pressed wallpapers on a flocked base by Artex Venera, 10m, 1.06m, 10743-02 we had initially chosen for our living room.
When paying for the purchase, we used our bonus points and the wallpapers ended up being a few rubles cheaper. For one roll, we paid 2283 rubles, and for four rolls, the total payment was 9132 rubles.
As soon as I bought the wallpapers, I tried to pack four rolls into my son's room using a stretchy plastic wrap. However, it was tied down with chains just like the packing tape on the store's packaging table, which made it quite inconvenient to pack. I had to give up on that idea and resort to using some tape I had at home.
In the end, when unpacking the rolls, we were left with a bunch of extra trash. I immediately wrapped the wallpapers for our living room with tape and they arrived just as well as if they were in stretchy plastic wrap.
When I unrolled the NewAGe vinyl wallpaper, I was a bit surprised by its smaller diameter compared to the Artex Venera flocked wallpaper I'd used before. But the difference was tiny.
The wallpaper came rolled up in a standard transparent wrapper, with a beautiful label on the right-hand side that provided all the details I needed.
I was impressed to see that the wallpaper was made in Belgorod, on April 29th this year. When I measured the repeat pattern, I found it to be 64cm, leaving just 1cm of waste when cutting the roll to 2.55m long.
On the reverse of the label, I found a comprehensive guide to applying the wallpaper in six languages, along with a key to the symbols on the front of the label.
My son's room has a unique situation - the ceilings are slightly lower due to the fact that they had to be leveled using drywall. This made cutting the wallpaper a bit more challenging, even though I managed to minimize waste. The real issue was picking out the design, which was harder than in our own room. The small details on the non-contrasting background made it tough to match up the pattern, but this only happened when I was combining pieces from different rolls.
When applying the first sheet to each wall, I used a laser level to get it perfectly aligned, and I opted for the high-quality KLEO EXTRA 45 adhesive with a pink indicator. To be honest, I found that the red laser beam was more visible on this colored adhesive than on the clear stuff.
Similar to our own room, the son's room has ceiling tiles that meet the wall, so I had to leave a small overlap on the lower part of the baseboard when cutting and applying the wallpaper.
I was surprised by how seamless the seam was despite the challenge of lining up the pattern. It was just as perfect as when I applied Venera wallpaper, where you can spot the seam by looking at the top fold of the wallpaper on the ceiling molding. I didn't trim some of the sheets to size and left that extra centimeter leftover from the difference in length between the pattern repeat and the whole number of strips. Sometimes, the pattern and geometry of the wallpaper are spot on, but the edge of the wallpaper is cut at a slight angle, making the seams noticeable. In this case, both the pattern and geometry of the wallpaper were flawless.
‎
Just like when we installed wallpaper in my son's room, we spent two days repositioning furniture before we could even start trimming the top edges of the molding and installing the baseboards and light switch. After that, the room became my son's dream design.
The NewAGe vinyl wallpaper with a hot-pressed effect in a gray-brown color, NA8786-15, 1.06 x 10m, turned out to be incredibly high-quality. Despite their seemingly delicate texture, these wallpapers were just as dense and opaque as the hot-pressed Venera wallpaper on a non-woven substrate. The seams on the NewAGe vinyl wallpaper were just as seamless as the Artex Venera wallpaper, both in terms of graphics and geometry. You can barely spot the seam, even up close, let alone from a distance. Given all these factors, I'd give these wallpapers a solid five-star rating and recommend them to anyone looking to purchase.
‎I'm thoroughly impressed with the quality of these wallpapers. They're perfect for anyone looking to give their room a fresh new look. The material is high-quality, the seams are seamless, and the pattern is flawless. I've already recommended them to several friends and family members.
‎
Now, I've been using the PowerPro 5000 for a while, and I'm really impressed with its customer support. They've been super responsive and helpful whenever I've had a question or issue. I've had to return a few things, and the process was smooth and hassle-free. The shipping times have been pretty quick too, which is a big plus. Overall, I'd say the value for money is great, especially considering the quality of the product. I'd definitely recommend the PowerPro 5000 to anyone looking for a reliable and easy-to-use power tool.

live_helpFeatured FAQ

What's the best way to install wallpaper with a straight joint?

To achieve a seamless look, make sure to align the pattern correctly and use a level to ensure the paper is straight. Apply the paper to the wall in sections, using a brush or roller to smooth out any air bubbles or wrinkles.

How do I handle wrinkles and air bubbles in the wallpaper?

To remove wrinkles, use a damp cloth to gently smooth out the paper. For air bubbles, use a pin or a needle to prick the bubble and then smooth out the area with a brush or roller.

Can I return the wallpaper if I'm not satisfied?

Yes, you can return the wallpaper within 30 days of purchase. Please contact customer support for a return merchandise authorization number and follow the return instructions provided.

What's the best way to clean the wallpaper?

To keep your wallpaper looking its best, use a mild soap and water solution to clean any stains or spills. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as they can damage the paper.

While the wallpaper is durable, it's not recommended for use in areas with high moisture, such as bathrooms or kitchens. However, you can use it in areas with moderate moisture, such as a laundry room or utility room.

How do I remove old wallpaper?

To remove old wallpaper, start by scoring the surface with a utility knife or a wallpaper scraper. Then, apply a solution of water and wallpaper remover to the scored area and let it sit for a few minutes. Use a scraper or a putty knife to gently remove the old paper, working from one corner to the other.
