First Impressions and Usage Experience
The Glo Ultra feels great in your hand - it's well-designed and well-built. The box includes a charging cable, a cleaning brush, and an instruction manual that's actually pretty helpful. I was a bit confused at first, but it's easy to get the hang of it.
The device has two modes: 'Standart' and 'BOOST'. The 'Standart' mode is straightforward - press the button once, insert a stick, wait 20 seconds, and you're good to go. Sessions last around 4-5 minutes, and the time depends on the stick's tobacco intensity - weaker sticks take longer, and stronger ones take less time.
Press the button twice quickly to activate the 'BOOST' mode. Insert a stick, and the device heats up in 15 seconds, but the session lasts only 3 minutes. However, the taste is more intense and the vapor is more potent.
I was a bit confused when I first read the manual, but it turns out you can use the device without the auto-start option, although it's not very convenient. You'll also need to disable auto-start when cleaning the device (after 20 sessions), which is recommended by the manufacturer.
What About the Vaping Experience?
I bought two packs of sticks from the 'neo' collection: Red Moon and Ruby Boost. Let's start with the flavor I enjoyed the most - Red Moon (cherry + blueberry). The intensity is 3, tobacco taste is 2, and freshness is 1. The tobacco flavor is pleasant, not too strong, and the freshness isn't overwhelming, especially on chilly days.
I noticed that the manufacturer also included flavored capsules in some packs, which you can spot by the little circle next to the English name.
The sticks themselves smell really nice when you take them out of the box. The scent reminds me of caramel popcorn straight from the oven and a hint of strawberry.
On the other hand, the Ruby Boost was a disappointment. The flavor tastes like chewed-up, stale gum with menthol or my dad's cologne. The tobacco flavor is pretty weak, and the freshness is overwhelming. I didn't get any satisfaction from smoking them.
