I'm sharing my review of the Evitest pregnancy test, 8 months after taking it. I know, I know, it wasn't even on my radar initially, but since this is a topic that's on many people's minds, I figured I'd share my story.

The packaging is pretty standard. Everything's clearly labeled.

The test is super easy to use: one line means you're not pregnant, two lines mean you are.

The expiration date is all good. And let's be real, these tests cost way less at regular stores – 150-200 rubles in pharmacies. Not a huge difference, if you ask me.

The packaging is pretty, I'll give it that – it's all pink and whatnot. But honestly, I think they charge a bit extra for that, since the actual test is just a tiny little thing inside.

First thing I noticed, the strip was already torn. Guess that's what I get for testing it out!

The expiration date is clearly marked on it too.

On the back, there's a detailed guide on how to use it. If you're a first-timer like I was, this will definitely come in handy. The manufacturer, Helm Pharmaceuticals from Germany, even includes an instruction manual inside. It's all laid out for you!

The test strip itself comes with silica gel, which I don't think is necessary. If they just sold the test strips in a pack, I'd say it'd be around 15-20 rubles.

But honestly, I think that's unnecessary. I saw how expensive those electronic pregnancy tests are, where they tell you how many weeks you're pregnant, and I just didn't want to waste 1000 rubles on it. Plus, the results disappear, and you're left with the strips. At least these strips can be kept as a memory.

I was surprised at how quick the whole process was - it took me less than 5 minutes. The EVITEST pregnancy tests are made from high-quality materials, are sterile, and have undergone multiple quality checks at each stage of production. The high sensitivity of the test (20mME/ml) ensured that I got an accurate result from the very first day of my missed period.

So, the moment of truth! Two weeks had passed since my last period, and I decided to take the test.

It was a typical morning routine - we headed to the bathroom, opened the box, and took the test to the spot where the blue area was. We dipped it into the urine container up to the MAX mark, counted to 10, and removed it! The result showed up within a minute.

And what did I think?

Negative! One line that really threw me off. I had been experiencing symptoms - dizziness and irritability... But no missed periods. I was expecting at least a faint line.

I was getting close, and I kept checking under the light... That day was really frustrating. I guess I was hoping for a miracle from the start.

But as it turned out, things didn't go as planned. Two days later, my period arrived, and I was certain I wasn't pregnant. So, the test got it right! And even before my missed period. You might think you should only take tests after a missed period, but that's not the case! A month later, I finally got pregnant, but by then, I had already switched to a cheaper test.

I left a test strip with one division. Not for a review, but to take another look after a day... Maybe the test is slow, and it'll show itself later. But unfortunately, it shows quickly and accurately. And after the test, I didn't feel like rushing to the hospital for blood tests... My mood was ruined.

I wrote this review to balance out the negative opinions from others. Many people think that the more expensive, the better. Although, I prefer classic test strips more.

A FEW WORDS OF ADVICE:

By the way, when another pregnancy test (I'll write about it later) showed those coveted two lines, I went for a transvaginal ultrasound (costing 1000 rubles). I highly recommend it to anyone who's 99% sure they're pregnant.

And, of course, it's worth starting to take vitamins like "FERRETAB" and "FEMIBION". Naturally, you should consult a doctor first. I also bought a tonometer. It's a super useful thing.

During pregnancy... in the early stages, I experienced brown discharge. My doctor prescribed "TRANEXAM". It's a good medication, it helped me.

IN RETROSPECT, I can conclude that the test:

It shows the result quickly;It's better to do it a week after your period and in the morning;You don't need to give blood, it's better to go for an ultrasound if you're healthy;I used this test once and it showed me one line (but I was right);It accurately told me I wasn't pregnant at the beginning of fall.But the thing is, this test 'Evitest' is pricey... I've tried several tests from different brands, and I can say that here you're paying extra for the packaging and instructions. Otherwise, it's the same.

So, consider other options (under 30 rubles):

"Mama ChEK";"Ledi ChEK";"Magnit-Zdorove". I'd still recommend this pregnancy test 'Evitest' and give it 5 stars!
