A Fun Spot for Gamers, But Not Suitable for Little Kids

summarizeEditor's Summary

I took my son and his friend to the computer club to celebrate his birthday, and I was a bit worried it might not be the right fit for them. But they loved playing Minecraft together, and the price was a total steal at around 120 rubles per hour. The vibe at the computer club is great, and I'm glad I decided to take them there. However, I wouldn't recommend it for little kids due to some mature themes.

I decided to celebrate my son's birthday with his best friend, but I didn't have much time to plan anything. It was a weekday in autumn, and I had to take him for some tests in the morning. After that, the rest of the day was free, so I called up his friend's mom and we decided to celebrate anyway.
I initially thought of taking them to an arcade, but it seemed more geared towards younger kids. That's when I remembered the computer club, and I knew both of them loved Minecraft. I checked if they had it, and sure enough, they did, so we headed there.
The computer club was a great idea - it's still a thing, and people actually play there. I was surprised to see how many people were there, but it wasn't too crowded.
The price was surprisingly low - around 120 rubles per hour. That made it a no-brainer for us.
Menager set up the game on two computers, and it was a hit with the kids. They spent hours playing Minecraft together.
The club had a pretty cool atmosphere - neon lights everywhere, and it was really dimly lit except for the glow of the monitors.
The gaming room had computers all lit up, and there were tons of games to choose from. They even hosted regular tournaments.
I was a bit surprised to see only half of the gaming stations occupied when we visited, but it was still a lot of fun.
The chairs were really comfortable, and each gaming station came with a pair of headphones.
There was a hook at the end of the hall for hanging our jackets, and the snack options available near the admin desk were really convenient - water, soda, energy drinks, and plenty of chips and other treats.
The bathroom was conveniently located too, and the interior design was all cohesive and stylish.
The gaming PCs seemed pretty solid, and I didn't hear anyone complaining about lag. They were serious gaming machines with RTX 3060 Ti and RTX 3070 graphics cards.
My kid was completely overwhelmed by the atmosphere, but he's already asked to come back for his next birthday. I think it's a great spot for gamers, but it's not suitable for little kids. The price was right, and the atmosphere was really cool.
We did notice that some people were pretty rowdy, and they were using some pretty strong language. Thankfully, our group was pretty chill and didn't pick up any bad habits.
Maybe they were just too engrossed in their games to notice. In any case, it's a pretty great spot. Just be prepared for a potentially rowdy atmosphere.
