My Honest Review of the Clearblue Digital Pregnancy Test
Hello everyone!
I've got a story to share with you all. It's similar to one I had almost a year ago, but that one didn't end well...
Now, at the slightest suspicion of another potential situation, I do a pregnancy test.
I'm a mom of two amazing girls. Pregnancy was tough, especially the first time. And now, armed with knowledge and some unpleasant experience, I always keep pregnancy tests in my medicine cabinet. One of them showed up recently.

At first glance, it looks pretty interesting, and I found myself wanting to give it a try. By this point, I wasn't even thinking about the result as much as the functionality of the device.
Using it/ the result
You can use this test in two ways:
Clearblue Digital Pregnancy Test with Week IndicatorI've got to say, considering its not-so-budget-friendly price, it's pretty impressive!
I think the first method would be better suited for people who want to know if they're pregnant or not in a more portable setting. There are just so many nuances to consider when using this method, and to be honest, it's not the most hygienic option in my opinion. But at least it takes less time to get a diagnosis than the second method. For me, it's more familiar, and I'm less likely to mess it up.
I collected the necessary liquid in a container, dipped the test in it with the tip facing down, and waited for 20-25 seconds.
Clearblue Digital Pregnancy Test with Week IndicatorAfter about 10 seconds, the display showed a picture of flashing hourglasses.
Digital Pregnancy Test Clearblue Digital with Week IndicatorI'm glad to say that everything's on track so far, and at least the test is working. After waiting for the right amount of time, I put the cap back on and left the test to do its thing. It's super important not to flip the test over with the absorbent end facing up – a horizontal position is best.
Digital Pregnancy Test Clearblue Digital with Week IndicatorNow, this is where things get a bit nerve-wracking. Waiting around for five minutes or so was a real challenge. Those flashing clock icons on the screen were driving me crazy! All I could think was: 'Come on, already – what's going on...?'
With regular test strips, it's a breeze. Once they're fully saturated, you can see the first line, and if there are two, the second line starts to appear gradually. The result is pretty instant, and it's a lot easier to stomach, at least for me.
I think most of you will know exactly what I'm talking about.
And after almost five minutes, my verdict was this:
Digital Pregnancy Test Clearblue Digital with Week IndicatorFinally, the moment of truth – but not because of the result, because I was relieved that the test had finally 'matured'.
I have to admit, the manufacturer's claim that the result on the display will remain for 24 hours is no joke. I checked it a few times in the first hour, just to make sure nothing had changed on the screen.
What's inside?
I showed the test to my husband, and he'd never seen one like it before. His first question was, 'Is it reusable?'
Naturally not. He was skeptical and even a bit miffed – after all, it's not cheap, and it's only good for one use...
But once I didn't need it anymore, it became very useful to him. Specifically, the display, which he'll definitely find handy.
So, I opened the casing, and inside
Digital Pregnancy Test Clearblue Digital with Week IndicatorThere's a microchip
Digital Pregnancy Test Clearblue Digital with Week IndicatorAnd two strips with the reagent. One of them had a faint blue line, while the other had two
Clearblue Digital Pregnancy Test with Week IndicatorI'm still not entirely sure what to make of this, but it turned out the test was accurate. Plus, the packaging included two extra batteries
Clearblue Digital Pregnancy Test with Week IndicatorAnd some kind of insert
Clearblue Digital Pregnancy Test with Week IndicatorMy partner somehow managed to hook up the display, and it showed all the relevant info, regardless of the test result
Clearblue Digital Pregnancy Test with Week IndicatorSo, if the result is positive, the test will show the gestation period in weeks. And you can get a more detailed breakdown from the instruction manual.
Result
I've got to say, I've got a lot of mixed feelings about this thing. To be honest, I think it's way too expensive for a one-time use. Plus, the stress it put me through was pretty unpleasant.
I'm not even sure if this pricey test is going to give me a 100% accurate result. I mean, there are cases where it might not. It's just a plastic box with some electronics inside. And it would be really frustrating if it didn't even work!
Personally, I'd rather go for more budget-friendly options. You can buy 10 or 20 of them for less than this one, and in the end, they'll give you a more accurate result, no matter what. Check out this video to see what I mean!
Just because something is cheap doesn't mean it's bad.
As an experiment, if you're not afraid to spend 1000 rubles on a whim, you can try buying this test. But even then, I wouldn't recommend it. It's just a luxury item, nothing more...
Thanks for reading, and I'll see you in the next one!
