I feel like a million bucks in this romantic dress

I'm not exactly a dress-wearing kind of person, to be honest. I usually stick to oversized clothes because I feel more comfortable in them. But a few months ago, I decided I wanted a new dress for my birthday. I was looking for something lightweight, bright, and feminine. I ended up buying a few dresses that I can now wear on any occasion.

So, I found this Blage dress that really caught my eye. The description said it was 35% cotton and 65% polyester, and it was priced at 3534 rubles from Wildberries.

When I saw the dress in person, I was blown away by how put together it looked. It's feminine, elegant, and the color is a gorgeous, muted beige that looks great in any lighting. The silhouette is fitted, with a flowy skirt. The buttons at the neckline are decorative, so they don't affect the fit.

My measurements used to be 78-60-90, but I've lost a lot of weight recently, so they might be a few centimeters off. I'm around 170-172 cm tall. I ordered a size 40, which fits perfectly. I also tried on a size 42, but it was a bit too loose in the waist and the length didn't change, so I stuck with the 40.

The construction of the dress is also top-notch - the seams are straight, the threads are nowhere to be seen, and the overskirt is a nice touch. To be honest, the fabric feels like velvet, but it's actually synthetic. It's really comfortable against my skin, and I didn't feel hot wearing it all day.

The dress has a side zipper and a special tie at the neckline. Just a heads up - don't forget to undo the tie before taking it off, or you might end up choking on it like I did a few times!

The sleeves are adjustable with two buttons, and the cuffs look really neat. I have small wrists, so I don't even bother to unbutton them when I take the dress on or off. The loops are easy to use, and the buttons stay in place while I'm wearing it.

I have to say, I bought this dress mainly because of the arm-lights. I'm not usually a fan of fitted dresses, but these sleeves make me feel like I'm wearing a flowy, effortless dress. They're really liberating, and I love it. The only downside is that the sleeves in the 40 size are a bit short, so if I raise my arms, it's noticeable. In the 42 size, I didn't have that problem.

I've got to say, this dress really flatters my waistline thanks to its corset-style design. It's not too tight, and as long as I don't overeat, I feel like a million bucks. After a big meal, it does start to feel a bit snug, but it's still super comfy. The length is pretty good for my height, but I wish it was a bit longer. I tried on a few different sizes, but they were all too wide.

If I had to describe this dress in one word, I'd say it's all about comfort. It's so nice to wear, and it doesn't restrict my movements at all. The only downside is that it doesn't have a lining. It's not see-through or anything, but you can catch a glimpse of what's underneath if you look at it from the right angle. The overall look is super soft and romantic – my friends even call it the 'princess-in-the-woods' style. I don't care what they say, though – I think it's a great look for me. For the first time in ages, I actually want to wear something other than my huge, oversized sweaters. I think this dress would be perfect for a chilly autumn or spring day. It kept me warm on a cool autumn day, but I'm not sure it would be suitable for a hot summer day. For a mild day, though, it's great.

The dress is really easy to care for. After washing, it retains its shape and color, and it doesn't shrink or deform. I wash it on a low heat with gentle cycles, and it's easy to iron – it only takes 15-20 minutes to get it looking smooth. As long as I don't sit down on it awkwardly, it doesn't wrinkle too much.

To put it simply, I'm absolutely thrilled with this dress. I'd like to give a big thumbs-up to the seamstresses who made it – it's been a long time since I've felt this good in a dress. Sure, it's not perfect, and I'm sure the fabric will start to degrade over time, but overall, I'm really impressed. For me, this is a solid 5-star rating.
