I've got two foundation brushes in my arsenal: a flat one with artificial bristles (Brush foundation brush, from Wet n Wild) and a duo-fiber one from Real Techniques with a mix of bristles and fibers, a fluffy brush.The brush applies foundation densely and sometimes streaks. It needs more time. But with Beautyblender, I can cover my entire face in a minute, easily layering on more foundation.
Only Beautyblender can quickly and evenly apply foundation to my face.

The results are the same, but I didn't notice any difference on both sides of my face. However, the sponge has already fallen apart and it's unpleasant to hold in my hands.
