A Thrilling Ride with Mixed Emotions

I recently decided to watch a thriller movie that's been on my radar for a while. I was in the mood for something that would send chills down my spine, and I finally found a relatively new film that I hadn't seen before. Let me give you a brief rundown of what it's about and my thoughts on it.

The main character, Julia, and her husband Francis arrive in Romania. Francis's mom is Romanian, but he's spent his whole life in the States and has just had to come back to Romania for work.

From the very first scenes, they try to show that Romania isn't exactly the most welcoming place, and you need to be careful.The couple rents an apartment in a house that looks like a dorm. From the very first days, Julia tells her husband that some guy from the house across the street is watching her through the window.(They later figure out to put curtains on that huge window.)In a foreign country, Julia isn't working. She doesn't even understand Romanian, and it seems like she's not really interested in learning it. Despite her fear, she loves roaming the city in red tights, visiting cafes, going to the movies, buying a Dracula statue from some flea market, while her husband is busy with work.

One evening, she fuels her fear even more by learning that a serial killer is on the loose in the city.The murders are basically being screamed from every TV and newspaper:- TV

- The atmosphere is pretty intense. I've got a neighbor, Ira, who speaks English and lives right next door. I confided in her about my fears, since my husband didn't really believe me when I told him.I've already mentioned that we hung up some curtains, but I kept pushing them aside to make sure our stalker was still there and even waving at me with his finger.Of course, I was researching the murders in our town and found some useful info online.Now I'm convinced that my stalker isn't just watching me from my window, but also following me outside the house. I'm positive he was stalking me at the cinema and the supermarket too. This guy's everywhere!But does that mean I should just stay home and hide, or move to a different neighborhood? Absolutely not!I don't want to give away the whole plot, in case someone here wants to watch the movie. But my thoughts on it are mixed. The main character is just so infuriating throughout the whole film. It's like she's deliberately making herself a victim, wanting everyone to hear and understand her. But when her husband asks, 'What can I do to help?' she just says, 'Nothing. Everything's fine. Don't worry about it.'

There was a moment when we called the cops to deal with the guy watching her from the window, but she backed out at the last minute. Instead, she convinced Ira's ex to come over to the apartment with her while her husband was away.

In general, we've got Bella Swan 2.0 here, who's trying to get attention in every way possible, a total drama queen.

To be honest, the stalker was definitely there. But in my opinion, he was following Ira the whole time (she's a lively, daring girl who dances striptease at the local dive bar - a stalker's dream, basically). And if Julia hadn't been looking for trouble in the first place, she would have gone completely unnoticed.
